Just love those camping hacks!

Camping hacks are a lot of fun whether you’re with family or friends.  With the limited space we have to bring things along, here are a few unique ideas that may help on your next adventure outdoors.

Strap your headlamp onto your jug full of water and you get ambient light for your tent.  Any jug size will do.

Save those Tic-Tac boxes and use them to store your spices!

Cut up a straw and fill the pieces with antibiotic ointment or toothpaste for single-use packets.

Make travel coffee bags out of coffee filters and dental floss.

Make single use soap leaves from a bar of soap and a vegetable peeler and put in the zip lock bag.

Use a belt and tack hooks to hang up pots and pans around a tree.  Simply secure the belt around the tree and hang pots and pans on the hooks.

Pack a mini first aid kit into an old prescription bottle.

Doritos are great for kindling if you can’t find any!

Make pocket sized oil lamps out of travel size or hotel toiletry shampoo bottles.  Fill with oil, cut a small hole i

n the cap and add a wick.  Store the wick inside the bottle until needed.

Add bundles of sage to a camp fire to keep mosquitoes away.

Cotton pads dipped in wax are an easy way to make portable fire starters.

Cook Pillsbury rolls inside a half orange peel over the fire.  Place in the embers for a delicious treat.

Cook cinnabuns (the canned kind) in a hollowed-out orange over a campfire.
